Journals in the library
Print journals
Our library subscribes to approximately 80 print journals available for on-site use only. It is not possible to check them out.
Blue study room = current issues
The journals are divided into two groups - Czech & Slovak, and foreign journals. Inside these groups, they are arranged in alphabetical order.
Brown study room (basement) and closed stacks = volumes older than 3 years
Volumes stored in the closed stacks can be ordered in advance via the catalogue.

The electronic databases available at MU contain hundreds of e-journals. You can search for articles by title, author, or keywords. It is also possible to look up a whole journal and browse its issues.

- you can search for articles available in all databases from one place using Discovery interface
- if you are looking for a particular journal, go to Discovery and choose the option List of available journals and books at MU at the top left,
look up the journal by title or ISSN, and you will get the link to the database where the journal is available - you can read newspapers and magazines from around the world in PressReader, the archive in the database is 3 months for most of the titles
