  • 29th June – 6th Sept → closed (due to construction works)
  • MON 7th Sept – FRI 11th Sept → reduced opening hours 9 a.m.–5 p.m
  • SAT 12th Sept → closed
  • From MON 14th Sept → regular opening hours

Summer library hours and migration to a new library system

  • The library will be closed from June 28 to September 6.

  • During the summer, MU libraries are transitioning to a new library system

    • Please note that the current library system will only be available until August 13, 2026. From August 14, it will not be possible to log in to your account, renew loans, or place book requests.
    • The old catalog will be temporarily available at vufind.ics.muni.cz.
    • The new library system will be launched during the second half of August, and we will inform you in due time about its availability and the possibility of logging in to your account.
    • Only current loans will be transferred to the new library system; loan history, saved searches, and lists of favorite items will not be transferred.
    • Search functionality in the library catalog will be unavailable for part of August.
    • We will keep you informed about the ongoing changes as they develop.
    • In early September, you will receive an email with information about the new library system.
