Summer library hours and migration to a new library system

The library will be closed from June 28 to September 6.
Over the summer, you can contact us by email at library@fss.muni.cz.

The loan period for monthly books is set to end on October 5, 2026. Reference books (marked with a red circle) must be returned by September 18, 2026.

While the library is closed, books can be returned via the drop box located on the ground floor of the building under the staircase. Alternatively, books can be mailed to the library’s address.

E-resources are available 24/7 even during the summer – discovery.muni.cz, Taylor & Francis Ebooks, and others can be found at https://library.fss.muni.cz/e-resources.
During the summer, MU libraries are transitioning to a new library system
Only current loans will be transferred to the new library system; loan history, saved searches, and lists of favorite items will not be transferred.

Search functionality in the library catalog will be unavailable for part of August.

We will keep you informed about the ongoing changes as they develop.

In early September, you will receive an email with information about the new library system.
